I’ve lived in Brussels almost my whole life, and most Tuesdays still end the same way: my friends are busy, so I do nothing. Not because there’s nothing to do. There’s plenty. It’s just that I don’t know who’d actually show up. No app could tell me what’s happening tonight and who’s free to join it. So we built the one that does.

I moved to Brussels from Romania knowing almost no one, so I did what every expat does: joined every Meetup I could find. Hiking, board games, language exchange. Didn’t matter the title, it always ended the same way: 6 people standing around a bar, half of them already cancelled by the time I got there. I didn’t move here to get better at small talk over a beer. I wanted to try new activities, with people who don’t flake. That’s the part I stayed to build.
